Moulded acrylic stands influenced by 90's doll stands - I'm interested in how these stands had rotational bases that allowed 360 degree viewing even if they were situated against a wall. Adds an element of interactivity despite the object being present by the stand being made static and artefact-ised.

Wood - Ply and dowel

Wood - Ply and dowel + Plaster foot

Simplistic but allow support individual for each object

Display but didn't specifically reference the idea of retail

How can stands display - be functional - hold sufficiently but retain a sense of immediacy of the object it supports?

Physical itterations

- Taking the ideas from the concept above but made more minimal

- Active

- Wall mounted

- Each stand / mount made for one specific object

Examples of stands in use - with their specific objects

How they attach to wall - nail in back (needs to be fixed so no tilting) - pre drilled wall

Notes from critique on supports:

  • The display of performance based objects could help with idea with presenting my objects and keeping them active rather than artefact or relics or retail displays..... tool shed wall of tools stored, presented but easy to grab and frequently used.

  • In reference to the "medical" in the statement could this be utilised in the aesthetics of the supports? - powder coated metal - colours etc.
