This presentation utilises a virtual space to explore an installation strategy.

Within this (digital) installation, various modalities and materialities are used to explore the spectrums of fictional/real, virtual/physical, representation/form, past/future, desired/undesired . These terms are derived from speculative discussions in critical design, art, futurology and critical theory.

The install accumulates virtual and physical objects from varying speculative contexts into a repository. Exploring the slippages, gaps, additional information, or alternative perspective between objects, representations, and mediums.

An example of one these mediums is an open-source website, which explores how .obj* files could be made public and accessible. An open-source file is modifiable and re-distributable at the discretion of the downloader. In this way, the virtual object becomes material again, reopening itself to speculation and new possibilities of form, materials, existence, intentions, and ways of being.
