Website:
Have been thinking about the website while making... It doesn’t really make a lot of sense to make it for phone/tablet when the work is based around the idea of the feedback loop and editing the objects which is done using a laptop/dekstop …. Perhaps a promo video + submit your email to revise the link to your home computer is better? on a tablet still...?
(Domain) name options
alternatives to .com and . co.nz - as they suggest commercial or corporation --- though probably just used today because it is a more common / easily findable domain
suffixes .website, .digtial, .online. .space are most interesting. Although prosaic .digital . online are interesting interns of the digital/analogue spectrum I've been exploring. .space is also intersting especially with oocom (open object communion.space ) - an online space where objects have been communed / gathered.

Mdf pieces:
White because of primer / undercoat - but it being white incidentally has made me realise that white doesn't work - even in my house where the walls aren't white - it seems to clinical in a way ...too sterile ? not "playful" in a wunderkammer type of way ?
Video:
Have just ben exporting these - same type as mid-year / sept. seminar
I was reading an article w/ an AR artist and they were likening their work to the experience of reading - the filing in of detail by the reader when the author doesn't give significant detail- and how they made their animations/subject matter always in black/white to illicit the viewer to imagine the colours/ materials instead of dictating them...this makes sense in relation to the idea of pure speculation we've talked about regard various scales, and abstracting shapes of the object - so the object is not seen as one whole, homogenised thing.. so its not the exact same representation of the object being iterated over and over..
Ambiguity & codes:
I've been thinking about how speculation could be applied to text and language - and the most applicable thing is a code
in codex seraphinianus Luigi Serafini uses a made up language accompanying illustrations to doccument an imaginary world. I'm interested in how a code is not about lacking meaning - its about obscuring it.. purposeful ambiguity. It suggests that by knowing (the code) you are outside of its context - this is the exact same notion, of not being from here and now, I'm interested in in relation to speculative objects.

initial ideas
looked at latin and greek alphabets, Elvin language in LOTR, Rohonc Codex, The Voynich Code

Some adjustments and turned into a font / type usable in software...

Going to use on artist work list map shown last meeting and on website. might leave one cipher on the artist statement?
