Inception ()

  • world building

  • science fiction element - dream sharing

  • maze building - labyrinth = complexity

  • dream tangential to reality sci - fi tangential to reality virtual tangential to reality

Dialogue from Inception:

"When we are asleep our mind can do almost anything."

"Imagine you're designing a building.. you consciously create each aspect .. but sometimes it almost feels like its creating itself."

  • Genuine inspiration and discovery

"In our dreams our mind continuously does this."

"We create and perceive our world simultaneously, and our mind does this so well we don't even know it's happening."

"You can create the world of the dream"

Does it has enough detail to believe the dream is reality?

Dreams feel real while we are in them, its only when wake up we realise something was strange.

  • The Venturi effect is then a common feature of a number of complex artifacts that have different overall forms and serve different func- tions, each requiring the incorporation of components unique to their specific function.

  • component forms seldom constitute stand-alone artifacts, and as evidenced by the Venturi tube of a carburettor, they are generally hidden details within a more com- complex artifacts having an entirely different form and function, such as an automobile.

---------------

  • How does situational speculation hold up to its reality counterpoint? When a situation becomes reality and architectures are made to met it. Do prior speculation equate?

  • Do the projections of speculation result in physical outcomes in our reality?

  • Is it only speculative when no one knows? Or can speculation last until the end of the viewing - or a duration of speculation?

  • small yet applicable interventions

  • Stands - do they artefact / in-activate - does this trap the object in speculation or trap as a relic of the past. Avoid the commercial product display aesthetic
